Elisabeth Gilmore, Associate Professor at Carleton University, is globally recognized for her interdisciplinary approach that bridges engineering and public policy to inform urgent, effective and equitable climate action. Her pathbreaking work highlights the critical importance of effective and inclusive institutions and participatory research to reduce climate vulnerability and enhance the feasibility of climate technologies. She was a lead author for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s Working Group II.

Elisabeth Gilmore est reconnue mondialement pour son approche interdisciplinaire qui relie l’ingénierie et les politiques publiques afin d’éclairer des actions climatiques urgentes, efficaces et équitables. Ses travaux novateurs soulignent l’importance cruciale d’institutions efficaces et inclusives ainsi que de la recherche participative pour accroître le potentiel transformationnel de l’adaptation aux changements climatiques. Elle a été auteure principale du sixième cycle d’évaluation et est actuellement rédactrice réviseure pour le septième cycle d’évaluation du Groupe de travail II du Groupe d’experts intergouvernemental sur l’évolution du climat (GIEC).
