Indigenous mental health, and addiction
Christopher Mushquash, Anishinabe, is a member of Pawgwasheeng (Pays Plat First Nation). He is a clinical psychologist, an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at Lakehead University, and the Northern Ontario School of Medicine, and a Canada Research Chair in Indigenous Mental Health and Addiction. Dr. Mushquash’s work is focused on development of culturally appropriate mental health and addiction assessment and intervention for First Nations children, adolescents, and adults.
Christopher Mushquash, Anishinabe, est membre de la communauté Pawgwasheeng (Première Nation Pays Plat). Il est psychologue clinicien, professeur agrégé au Département de psychologie à l’Université Lakehead et à l’École de médecine du nord de l’Ontario. Il est titulaire de la Chaire de recherche du Canada dans le domaine de la santé mentale et des toxicomanies auprès des populations autochtones. Ses travaux portent sur l’élaboration de modes d’évaluation et d’intervention culturellement adaptés aux enfants, aux adolescents et aux adultes des Premières Nations en matière de santé mentale et de toxicomanie.
