An internationally renowned sociolinguist, Normand Labrie is at the origin of significant progress in the study of linguistic pluralism at a global level thanks to his substantial contribution in the study of language practices and policies, the construction of identity among Francophone communities and their access to education. He demonstrated exceptional leadership towards the integration of research-based knowledge at the institutional level and the advancement of social sciences and humanities.
