John Leonard is Professor of English at Western University. He is an internationally recognized scholar in renaissance/early modern literature, especially the poetry and prose of John Milton. He has won four international prizes, including Honored Scholar of the Milton Society of America (only the sixth Canadian to win this lifetime achievement award since 1948). The Times Literary Supplement has called him “one of the greatest Milton scholars working today.”

John Leonard est un Professeur de littérature Anglaise à la Western University. Il est un intellectuel reconnu internationalement dans le domaine de la littérature de la renaissance/pré-moderne, spécialisé dans la poésie de John Milton. Il a emporté quatre prix internationaux, dont le “Honored Scholar of the Milton Society of America” (seulement le sixième Canadien à remporter cet honorable prix depuis 1948). Le Times Literary Supplement l’a nommé “un des plus grands spécialistes de Milton à continuer son oeuvre de nos jours”.
