Long Citation
Juan Geuer is an originator of interdisciplinary art practice in Canada, and a continuing pioneer in interactive art installation. He is nationally and internationally acclaimed for bridging the dichotomy between art and science. He has produced a body of highly complex, as well elegantly simple, technologically and philosophically based works and large scale installations, as well as publishing articles on science and the arts. He continues to serve as mentor to students and young artists in interdisciplinary practices. His works have been exhibited and collected in major institutions in Canada and throughout the world, and he has received major grants and awards throughout his career.

Professor S.P. Gibbs has investigated chloroplast ultrastructure in the major groups of algae and more recently using EM auto radiography (a technique that she pioneered) has studied various aspects of DNA and RNA in chloroplasts. She has expanded this work to include immunocytochemistry of protein molecules with the aim of elucidating the molecular organization of the chloroplast in different algal classes. Throughout her career Dr. Gibbs' research has been at the cutting edge of science. She is an active participant in symposia and workshops, in the administration of the Biology Department at McGill, and on editorial boards.

Professor Dale Gibson has been recognized as one of Canada's most respected and prolific legal scholars. His work includes valuable works in no less than five important areas of public and private law: constitutional law, torts, legal history, privacy and civil liberties. In all these fields, his writings are of a high standard, clear and intellectually stimulating, often original, and always thorough and reliable.
He is undoubtedly best known for his work in constitutional law. In particular he has done solid and insightful work on the "Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms" as well as on the constitutional aspects of water law and of the environment generally.

LONG CITATION
Professor Eliezer Gileadi, Nathan Cummings Chair of Pure and Applied Electrochemistry, Emeritus, at Tel Aviv University (Israel), is widely recognized internationally for his exceptional contributions to fundamental and applied electrochemistry. His work has contributed to the understanding, especially at the molecular level, of the metal/solution interface, both in aqueous and non-aqueous electrolytes, to the elucidation of mechanisms on electrode reactions, the understanding of the fundamentals of adsorption phenomena, and the interpretation of anomalous deposition of alloys. Prof. Gileadi’s research has had a major influence on applied research in the areas of fuel-cells, electroplating, alloy plating, supercapacitors and mechanisms of corrosion inhibition. His international eminence in these areas was recognized by the award in 2003 of the coveted Olin Palladium Medal of the Electrochemical Society (U.S.A.) . His impact on Canadian science has been felt since 1960, but especially through his collaborative research at NRC Laboratories in Ottawa over the last decade. He was awarded the Herzberg Memorial Prize (2004) in recognition of this fruitful collaboration.

Dr. Gillespie has made many outstanding contributions in the field of inorganic chemistry. His extensive investigations on the electrochemical, thermodynamic and dielectric properties of sulfuric acid solutions have won him wide recognition and an international reputation at an early age. Since joining the staff at McMaster University he has established a first-rate school of inorganic chemistry. He and his group have carried out numerous brilliant researches on a variety of new fluorine compounds, sulfur compounds, and mixed fluorine and sulfur compounds. Using a variety of modern techniques, he has investigated the chemistry of these compounds and successfully established the structure of most of them. His achievements to date are most impressive and place him in the forefront of present-day inorganic chemists.
