Frontiers Planet Prize | Information Webinar | Preparing a Strong Nomination
This webinar is designed for researchers considering a nomination for the Frontiers Planet Prize. Representatives from the Royal Society of Canada and the Frontiers Planet Prize will provide practical guidance on preparing a strong nomination, including how to articulate the significance and transformative potential of research, demonstrate impact, and connect research to global planetary challenges. The session will also provide an overview of the Canadian nomination process and key deadlines, followed by an opportunity for questions and discussion.
Frontiers Planet Prize
The RSC serves as Canada’s National Representative Body (NRB) for the Frontiers Planet Prize, a global sustainability prize awarding US$1 million to each of three International Champions to support their research.
Institutions must register as National Nominating Bodies (NNB) to nominate researchers during the annual fall nomination period. A National Champion is selected from Canada’s nominations and advances to the international competition.

About the Frontiers Planet Prize
The RSC is proud to serve as Canada’s National Representative Body (NRB) for The Frontiers Planet Prize.
The Frontiers Planet Prize is three awards of 1 million USD each. The winners are scientists whose breakthrough research, published in peer-reviewed journals, aims to address the planetary crisis by helping to stabilize Earth’s ecosystems so as “to enable healthy lives on a healthy planet”. Each year, three International Champions are chosen from a select group of National Champions.
