Daniel Trefler engages in fundamental research on international trade, innovation, inequality, and AI. He also contributes to policy debates surrounding trade agreements and global governance, including advising Canada on CETA, USMCA, and China. His awards include the Killam Prize, the Bank of Canada Fellowship, and the Canada Research Chair. His work has been cited by the Nobel Committee, the WTO, New York Times, Newsweek, Wall Street Journal, and The Economist.
Daniel Trefler mène des recherches fondamentales sur le commerce international, l’innovation, les inégalités et l’IA. Il contribue également aux débats politiques sur les accords commerciaux et la gouvernance mondiale, notamment en conseillant le Canada sur l’ALE, l’ACEUM et la Chine.
