Denis Lacelle, with broad research interests in the permafrost environments of Arctic and Antarctica, is making groundbreaking contributions to the scientific knowledge of: i) the origin, age, constituents, and future of Arctic and Antarctic ground ice; ii) the history and dynamics of permafrost terrain, iii) the effects of changing climate on our fragile terrestrial Arctic ecosystems and iv) the dynamics of ground ice on Mars.
Denis Lacelle, s’intéressant aux pergélisols de l’Arctique et de l’Antarctique, contribue de manière novatrice aux connaissances scientifiques relatives à : i) l’origine, l’âge, les constituants et l’avenir de la glace de sol arctique et antarctique ; ii) l’histoire et la dynamique du pergélisol ; iii) les effets du changement climatique sur nos fragiles écosystèmes arctiques terrestres arctiques, et iv) la dynamique de la glace de sol sur Mars.
