MAiDThe Royal Society of Canada presents:

Medically-Assisted Dying: Next Steps for Canada

A Luncheon Lecture with Dr. Jocelyn Downie, FRSC

This event features Dr. Jocelyn Downie, a key thought leader in medically-assisted dying. Dr. Downie will address the challenges and opportunities for the future of medically-assisted dying in Canada. Her comments will be grounded in the current state of knowledge, with particular reference to the Expert Panel Report entitled “End-of-Life Decision-Making” published in 2011 by the Royal Society of Canada, and the recent Assessment on “Medical Assistance in Dying” published by CCA and laid before Parliament in late 2018. A Q&A will follow.
