With the discovery of a completely new mathematical object and the development of powerful new techniques in set theory, Stevo Todorcevic has become one of the world’s leading logicians. Through the application of set theory, he has made striking contributions to topology and analysis. He is the author of eight mathematics books, one of which garnered the 2013-2014 Schoenfield prize of the Association for Symbolic Logic. He is the 2012 winner of the prestigious CRM-Fields-PIMS prize, Canada’s premier mathematics award.
Avec la découverte d’un objet mathématique entièrement nouveau et le développement de puissantes techniques en théorie des ensembles, Stevo Todorcevic est devenu l’un des logiciens internationaux des plus reconnus. À travers les applications de la théorie des ensembles, il a fait des contributions frappantes dans les domaines de la topologie et de l’analyse. Il est l’auteur de huit manuscrits mathématiques, dont l’un remportant le prix Schoenfield 2013-2014 par l’Association de Logique Symbolique. Il est le récipiendaire du prix CRM-Fields-PIMS en sciences mathématiques pour l’année 2012, le lauréat mathématique Canadien par excellence.
