Molly Shoichet is an innovative and influential scholar working at the interface of chemistry, biology and engineering. Molly seeks to advance fundamental science while at the same time translating this knowledge into advanced human health. Molly's lab is focused on defining the cellular environment and has changed the way scientists think about patterning 3-D hydrogels for controlled cellular response. Her team has synthesized novel biodegradable polymeric nanospheres for targeted delivery against cancer. Moreover, Molly's team has synthesized novel fluoropolymer structures using supercritical carbon dioxide. Molly is internationally acclaimed and recognized for her outstanding research and leadership in these multi-disciplinary fields.
