Julia Baum is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biology at the University of Victoria. She studies marine ecosystems, how anthropogenic stressors are changing these ecosystems, and the mechanisms underlying their resilience to these stressors. Her research articles have appeared in Science and top ecology journals. For her research creativity and leadership, she has received a Sloan Research Fellowship and a Pew Fellowship in Marine Conservation, among other honours.
Julia Baum est professeure agrégée au sein du Département de biologie de l’University of Victoria. Elle étudie les écosystèmes marins, l’effet des agresseurs anthropiques sur ces écosystèmes et les mécanismes à l’origine de leur résilience à ces agresseurs. Ses articles ont été publiés dans Science et dans de grandes revues sur l’écologie. Elle a notamment reçu une bourse de recherche Sloan et une bourse Pew en conservation marine pour sa créativité et son leadership en matière de recherche.
