Jo-Anne LeFevre is Chancellor’s Professor of Cognitive Science and Psychology. Her extensive research on mathematical cognition and learning is being applied to improve the lives of Canadian children through the development of assessment tools that support equity in mathematics. In 2023, she received the Donald O. Hebb Award from the Canadian Society for Brain, Behaviour, and Cognitive Science in recognition of her sustained contributions to research, training, and leadership.
Jo-Anne LeFevre est professeure de sciences cognitives et de psychologie. Ses recherches approfondies sur la cognition et l’apprentissage des mathématiques sont utilisées pour améliorer la vie des enfants canadiens grâce au développement d’outils d’évaluation qui favorisent l’équité en mathématiques. En 2023, elle a reçu le prix Donald O. Hebb de la Société Canadienne des Sciences du Cerveau, du Comportement et de la Cognition en reconnaissance de ses contributions soutenues à la recherche, à la formation et au leadership.
