Andrei K. Yudin is an internationally renowned scholar who has created new molecules that serve as powerful tools used for chemical synthesis. His concept of “forced orthogonality” has enabled the development of entirely new classes of compounds, previously thought to be too unstable to be used as practical reagents. Yudin has also been active in translating these fundamental discoveries into applications that impact the fields of chemistry, biology and medicine.

Andrei Yudin a acquis une réputation internationale pour avoir créé de nouvelles molécules qui servent d’agents puissants pour la synthèse chimique. Son concept d’« orthogonalité forcée » a permis de mettre au point de toutes nouvelles classes de composés, jugés auparavant trop instables pour servir de réactifs pratiques. Andrei Yudin n’a pas ménagé ses efforts pour tirer de ses découvertes fondamentales des applications utiles en chimie, en biologie et en médecine.
