In over 40 years working with the academic research community, Janet Halliwell has made seminal contributions to the evolution of funding programs, research management and S&T policy in Canada. She has played a leadership role in the design and implementation of innovative new programming in her work with each of the federal funding agencies and has championed inter-agency collaboration. She serves on numerous national, regional and institutional boards and committees dealing with the academic research ecosystem.
Janet Halliwell a contribué de façon déterminante à l’évolution des programmes de financement, de la gestion de la recherche et des politiques de science et technologie au Canada. Elle a joué un rôle de chef de file dans la conception et la mise en œuvre de nouveaux programmes novateurs dans son travail avec chacun des organismes de financement fédéraux et a défendu la collaboration interorganismes. Elle siège au sein de nombreux conseils et comités nationaux, régionaux et institutionnels en charge de l’écosystème de la recherche universitaire.
