Trevor Bell is a multidisciplinary geographer whose current work focuses on climate change adaptations and human-environment interactions. His pioneering research on climate variability and change in Inuit Nunangat has had significant scholarly, community and policy impacts. He has twice received the Arctic Inspiration Prize for knowledge-to-action plans that benefit Arctic Peoples. His most recent partnership – SmartlCE – was recognized by the United Nations for its novel climate solution.
Trevor Bell est un géographe multidisciplinaire dont les recherches actuels portent sur les adaptations aux changements climatiques et les interactions homme-environnement. Ses recherches novateurs sur la variabilité et les changements climatiques dans Inuit Nunangat ont eu d'importantes retombées scientifiques, communautaires et politiques. À deux reprises, il a reçu le prix Inspiration Arctique pour ses plans d'action qui profitent aux peuples de l'Arctique. Son plus récent partenariat – SmartlCE – a été reconnu par les Nations Unies pour sa nouvelle solution climatique.
