Jo-Anne Dillon is a world-leading expert in sexually transmitted diseases and antimicrobial resistance who has pioneered molecular technologies for characterizing the antibiotic resistance and transmission of Neisseria gonorrhoeae and other microorganisms. A distinguished administrator and the founding director of Health Canada’s National Laboratory for Sexually Transmitted Diseases, Professor Dillon has helped shape Canadian public health and medical research institutions. She is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences.

Jo-Anne Dillon est reconnue au niveau international pour ses recherches sur les maladies sexuellement transmissibles et les résistances aux antimicrobiens. Elle a mis au point les technologies moléculaires pour la caractérisation de la transmission et la résistance aux antibiotiques du Neisseria gonorrhoeae et d’autres micro-organismes. Administratrice éminente, Professeur Dillon a aidé à façonner la santé publique canadienne et des établissements de recherche médicale. Elle est Fellow de l’Académie canadienne des sciences de la santé.
