The RSC Policy Briefing entitled “Protecting Expert Advice for the Public: Promoting Safety and Improved Communications” is now freely and publicly available here.
"The pandemic has shown us the vital importance of decision-makers and the public having access to up-to-date information and expertise. We need to strengthen knowledge-sharing in Canada and must not allow the harassment of experts to reduce our access to credible information," said chair of the Working Group Prof. Julia M. Wright, FRSC.
The RSC has prepared Policy Briefings and other resources to ensure open access to independent, evidence-based science for Canadians.
On February 11 at 2:00 pm EST, the RSC is hosting an hour-long free virtual Webinar convening some of the authors to discuss key recommendations outlined in the Policy Briefing.
