Penelope Farfan is an award-winning scholar whose interdisciplinary research on feminist and queer performance has reshaped the fields of modernist theatre, drama, dance, and performance studies. She is also an award-winning editor and an internationally recognized scholar of contemporary feminist theatre whose research has foregrounded Canadian playwrights while also advancing knowledge of playwriting by women from around the world over the past thirty years.

Aitazaz Farooque is serving as a Professor and Director at the Canadian Centre for Climate Change and Adaptation, University of Prince Edward Island. Aitazaz’s research focuses on the development of climate-smart technologies for Canadian agriculture. Aitazaz has co-authored over 150 peer-reviewed articles and delivered many keynote/invited talks at international forums. Aitazaz has received various national awards in recognition of his exceptional contributions. Aitazaz has garnered over $18M in research funding and trained a significant number of highly qualified personnel.

Updated July 22, 2015 Farrell, Anthony Peter, Science, University of British Columbia Dr. Farrell is internationally recognized for his research into the properties of fish hearts, why their cardiorespiratory systems collapse at high temperature and how some hearts continue to function without oxygen. His work has been applied in fish conservation. He has received awards from the British Isles Fisheries Society, the American Fisheries Society and the Canadian Society of Zoology, and an honorary doctoral degree from the University of Gothenburg.
