Kelly Metcalfe is an internationally renowned researcher in cancer genetics, specifically the prevention and management of hereditary breast cancer. Full Professor at the University of Toronto, she was appointed the Bloomberg Professor of Cancer Genetics in 2015. Professor Metcalfe’s seminal publications in the British Medical Journal and JAMA Oncology identified the survival benefit associated with contralateral mastectomy and oophorectomy in women with breast cancer and a BRCA1 or BRCA2 mutation.
Kelly Metcalfe est une chercheuse de renommée internationale dans le domaine de la génétique du cancer, en particulier la prévention et la gestion du cancer du sein héréditaire.
