Sylvain Cloutier is Chair of Electrical Engineering and Interim Dean of Research at the École de Technologie Supérieure. In 2006, he received his PhD from Brown University and became assistant professor at the University of Delaware. There, he received the DARPA Young Faculty Award for his work on light in nanostructured materials. He joined ÉTS in 2011 and leads the Canada Research Chair on Hybrid Optoelectronic Materials and Devices.
Sylvain Cloutier est directeur du département de génie électrique et doyen de la recherche par intérim à l’École de technologie supérieure. En 2006, il obtient son doctorat de l’Université Brown et devient assistant professeur à l’Université du Delaware où il obtient le prestigieux DARPA Young Faculty Award. Il devient professeur à l’ÉTS en 2011 et titulaire de la Chaire de recherche du Canada sur les matériaux et les composants optoélectriques hybrides.
