Artist scholar Erik Anonby probes, taps and maps the contributions of linguistic diversity to individual human experience, collective heritage and survival. Scholarship, community and creative impulse meet in his paintings, poetry, public outreach, seven books, and a body of other academic and popular publications. Recipient of the Humboldt Foundation’s Fellowship for Experienced Researchers, Anonby leads an international 60-member research network in the Atlas of the Languages of Iran (ALI).
Le chercheur-artiste Erik Anonby sonde et cartographie les contributions de la diversité linguistique à l’expérience humaine individuelle, au patrimoine collectif et à la survie. La recherche scientifique, la communauté et l’impulsion créatrice se rejoignent dans ses peintures, sa poésie, sa sensibilisation du public, ses sept livres et d’autres publications. Récipiendaire de la Bourse Humboldt pour les chercheurs expérimentés, Anonby dirige un réseau international dans l’Atlas des langues de l’Iran (ALI).
