Dr. Janelle Jenstad has shaped the emerging field of geohumanities as the creator and director of the Map of Early Modern London, one of the most important digital humanities projects in Renaissance studies. The multilayered,
detailed digital map that she envisioned and developed stands apart as a pre- eminent example of interdisciplinarity, collaboration, reach and impact. The map consistently serves 7.7 million pages annually to 200,000 visitors from nearly 140 countries.
