Dr. Stuart Foster pioneered the development of micro-ultrasound. He has developed high frequency ultrasound instrumentation and founded Visualsonics – the premier supplier word wide
of micro-ultrasound. Dr. Foster has applied micro US to solve clinical problems in ophthalmology. He has also pioneered the use of ultrasound for preclinical imaging, particularly in the mouse where it is
now essential for evaluation of the heart, embryos and cancer models.
Le Dr Stuart Foster a été le pionnier du développement de la micro-échographie. Il a développé une haute fréquence
instrumentation par ultrasons et fondé Visualsonics - le premier fournisseur mondial de micro-ultrasons. Le Dr Foster a appliqué la micro-US pour résoudre des problèmes cliniques en ophtalmologie.
Il a également été le pionnier de l'utilisation de l'échographie pour l'imagerie préclinique, en particulier chez la souris où elle est désormais indispensable pour l'évaluation des modèles de cœur, d'embryons et de cancer.
