Michel Biron is an internationally renowned specialist of Belgian and Quebec literature. By investigating the links between society and literature, his work on the history of Quebec literature has allowed us to renew our understanding of the different ways this history has been constructed as well as of its unity. Michel Biron is also well known for his studies on Belgian modernism and on the contemporary French and Québécois novel.

Michel Biron est un spécialiste internationalement reconnu de littérature belge et québécoise. Prenant appui sur les liens entre la société et la littérature, ses travaux sur l'histoire de la littérature québécoise ont permis de renouveler la compréhension des relais par lesquels cette histoire s'est construite et l'unité qui la définit. Michel Biron est également reconnu pour ses études sur la modernité belge et le roman contemporain (québécois et français).
