2005 Governor General Lecture Series: The Many Faces of Memory

Dr. Brenda Milner, the first lecturer of the Series, will be presenting “The Many Faces of Memory”, an informative look at the varying facets of human memory. Dorothy J. Killam Professor at the Montreal Neurological Institute (MNI), and Professor in the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery at McGill University, Dr. Milner is recognized as a founder of cognitive neuroscience, and her work on specific psychological effects following injury to local parts of the brain is known internationally. She has earned a multitude of national and international awards and her research in the field of neurosciences has substantially impacted the lives of Canadians.
