The Mexican Academy of Sciences and US National Academy of Sciences are jointly sponsoring a symposium, “New Horizons in Science”, to be held in Mexico City in June 21 – 24, 2014. They have contacted The Royal Society of Canada (RSC), asking the RSC to select a number of Canadian scientists who might participate in this activity. The participants are intended to be young to mid-career scientists and the goal is to build collaborative relationships among the next generation of science leaders in our countries. The “New Horizons” symposium is patterned after the very successful “Frontiers of Science” series of the US National Academy of Sciences. It will include diverse session topics including Astrophysics, Biotechnology, Green chemistry, Oceanography and Marine Biology.
