The Expert Panel examining the Status and Future of Canada’s Libraries and Archives will be keeping a blog updating Canadians on their progress while reporting on the series of public consultations held around the country. It will allow those who are unable to attend, or who have had to leave early, to participate in the conversation. Views from the public will be important components of the final report, and public participation at the meetings and on the blog is encouraged.
The dates for the public consultations, and more details will be posted here and on the events page. The meetings will be held:
- Yellowknife - September 13, 14
- Vancouver - September 19-21
- Ottawa - October 4, 5
- Winnipeg - October 18, 19
- Calgary - October 22-25
- Montreal - October 24
- Edmonton - October 28, 29
- Halifax - November 8, 9
