The inherent challenges of a data-driven world, as well as opportunities for partnerships will be placed in context by inviting insights from the private sector, policy makers, regulators and academia. The issue of societal trust in data, information and institutions will also be addressed. Furthermore, the necessity for enhanced partnerships and collaboration amongst private and public stakeholders beyond disciplinary silos and narrow sectoral applications will be explored, in addition to the role that universities can play in supporting public sector research and development and training critical thinkers. Finally, the summit will look to the future, examining the responsibility of the G7 countries in accessible and equitable capacity-building for all nations in support of Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals.
